This Privacy Policy describes how the owner and operator of Mechanick ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application, Mechanick ("the App") and our related services.

We collect information in a few different ways:

a. Information You Provide to Us:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and username.
• Fitness and Health Data: We collect the data you voluntarily enter into the App, including your workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weight), custom workouts you create, bodyweight entries, and any measurements you provide for our fitness calculators (such as height, neck, waist, hips, age, and activity level).

b. Information We Collect Automatically:

• Usage Information: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized information about how you interact with the App, such as which features you use, which screens you visit, and the frequency and duration of your sessions. This helps us understand how our users engage with the App so we can improve it. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to personally identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create and manage your account, save your workout and bodyweight history, and provide you with the core features of the App.
• To Personalize Your Experience: To power the SuggestionEngine, which uses your past performance data to provide recommendations for future workouts.
• To Communicate with You: To send you essential service-related communications, such as updates to our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, and to respond to your support requests.
• To Improve Our App: To analyze usage trends and user feedback to develop new features, improve functionality, and fix bugs.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with the following third-party service providers who are essential for operating our App:

• Google (Firebase): We use Google's Firebase platform to provide our core backend services, including user authentication (Firebase Authentication), database storage (Cloud Firestore), and analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). 4. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Your information is stored on Google Firebase's secure infrastructure. While we and our service providers implement robust security measures to protect your information, no system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your personal information. Here are your rights and choices:

a. Accessing and Correcting Your Information: You can review and update some of your account information directly within the App's settings.

b. Data Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this through the "Account Manager" screen within the App or by sending a request to nick@mechanick.app from the email address associated with your account. c. Opting Out of Communications: While you cannot opt out of essential service-related emails, you will have the option to unsubscribe from any optional or promotional communications we may send in the future.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We will delete your data upon your request, as described in the "Data Deletion" section.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside of your country of residence, including in the United States, as our service provider (Google Firebase) operates globally. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the App or by sending you an email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
